GOT THE SOAP? OUR FIRST TEST WAS FRIDAY FEBRUARY 21ST AT THUNDER
HILL. IT WENT GREAT ABOUT 3 TO 5 SECONDS OFF THE
FRONT RUNNERS. SO I'M HAPPY FOR THE 1ST TIME TO DRIVE THE
CAR AND THE 1ST TIME TO DRIVE A F/F IN ABOUT 15 YRS. SOOOO FUN.
NO CAR PROBLEMS AT ALL. GOT IN ABOUT 45 LAPS. T.J.
Thursday March 20th 2003
Our next testing day is Thursday March 27th at
Sears Point (Infineon) Raceway.
Thursday
March 27th 2003
Our testing went well. We
got down to within 5 seconds of the front runners with old tires. With a
little bit more practice and some more time in setup we should run well.
Our paperwork to define setups and recordings is still a work in
progress, not exactly the same as roadbikes. TJ
Thursday April 10th 2003
Our first F/F race in
21 years. We got off to a slow start and qualified 19th, about mid pack.
I was very happy with the race as we finished in a respectable 8th place
finish. The crew was great, this was a total team effort. TJ
Thursday May 1st 2003
Update from April 26th and
27th soon. TJ
Tuesday May 27th 2003
After many years of racing, Team
Old Guy Racing
has it's first WIN.
This has been a long time coming! Had a great
weekend at Laguna. Thanks to all of you that have
supported my racing for all the years, and a special
thanks to Dave and Michelle Olson @ (Airtec
Service) Tony
Tuesday July 1st 2003
This past weekend was great, a double
header. Saturday we finished 4th in the largest group this year, Sunday
she was not so good. We sure can dirt track it when it means staying off
the wall.
Tuesday July 15th 2003
This past weekend was tough, another
Regional / National.
While we sorted out some better tire procedures we also had an engine
timing problem, blew a head gasket and ran a bit off the pace as a
result. Thank you to the Ford drivers in our class for your
support.
Tuesday
August 5th 2003
This past weekend was
our 3rd Regional / National.
Friday went well with practice
and qualifying. Saturday was a little messy with a mystery oil leak , it
turned out to be a valve cover gasket gone bad. We finished our National
race 9th in class and 10th overall.
Sundays Regional race ended quickly with a broken crankshaft.
Hey, the weather was great.

New SCCA schedule now posted.
We finished 2003 with a seventh place overall in SCCA San Francisco
region Spec Ford class.
Monday October 13th
Wow. In less than two weeks Number 10 has been rebuilt,
aligned, tuned and massaged into an almost new race car. With almost no
testing we went out and finished 4th on our class at Thunderhill.
Wednesday October 1st
Tony picked up our chassis on Saturday and is
hard at work putting parts back on. We have also decided to replace all
the old bulkhead and side panels at this time. If we get a little paint
on the bodywork we should be lookin good. The plan is to run Thunderhill
on the 11th and 12th.
TUESDAY AUGUST 26th
Our new motor ran great, our setup was on, new tires for qualifying.
"Tell me what happened?", "turn 10? ouch".

New pavement, new motor, new tires, Our best lap ever at Sears Point. We
do believe that Nascars best addition to Sears Point Raceway is lots of
Styrofoam.
Our car is a little bent, our driver a little mellower, three weeks to
the next race. Stay tuned.
